DISCLAIMER

Due to the hand sanding required to finish 3D wall panels, grooves on the finished panels may have a slight non uniform appearance. Sculpting of the MDF panels may cause the panels to bow. This is normal and can be rectified by correct installation. Much care needs to be taken when storing, transporting and handling the panels. They should be wrapped in protective foam and stored with the machined side adjacent to the back of the following panel. Do not store or transport panels face to face as the sculpting may be damaged. 3D Wall Panels™ does not warrant against damage from storage.

Colour and other variations in raw MDF base material
MDF is made from recycled forest products therefore raw unfinished wall panels will have natural variations in colour and fibre.  We cannot guarantee a colour match of raw boards. This is why we do not recommend clear lacquering as a finish for the panels. Staining of the panels, especially in light colours may also result in slight colour differences between panels. The machined boards will vary in their degree of furriness i.e. the texture of the surface after the board has been machined. This is the result of the use of natural recycled materials in the manufacture of the raw boards. The use of MDF primer and a sufficient degree of sanding and preparation prior to painting and between coats will determine the ultimate finish of the panels.

Thermo-laminated wood grain and timber veneer finishes
When choosing a wood grain thermo-laminated wood grain or timber veneer finish, it is important to note that the direction of the grain will always run in the long direction of the panel. As not all designs are suitable, please contact 3D Wall Panels prior to specifying these types of finish.

Painted finishes
To achieve the best results on MDF base materials, the use of a reputable spray paint professional is recommended. The use of an MDF primer and sufficient sanding between coats and prior to the final finishing coats being applied will help to ensure a smooth surface. Always use paint as per the manufacturer's instructions.
