3D wall panels™ are available in a raw (unfinished) or finished state. The choice is yours. The following are some suggestions for finishing your panels. See examples of the finishes mentioned below in our portfolio.
Thermo-laminated Vinyl Finish
A decorative vinyl coating is pressed onto the panel giving it superior durability and great visual impact. Exposed edges of the panels are also wrapped. Inside edges generally, are not wrapped to allow for a more seamless look between adjoining panels.

Polyurethane or Hand Painted
Polyurethane paint provides a superior finish for 3D wall panels. It can be applied by your local spray painter or available through 3D Wall Panels™ on (02) 9608 6833. For those who prefer to do it yourself, an MDF primer coat is recommended, followed by 2 coats of acrylic paint, applied as per the manufacturers guidelines.

Stain and Lacquer
Panels may be stained in various shades and lacquered for a timber-like finish. For best results a professional french polisher is recommended. Note that as MDF is made from recycled forest products, the colour of the raw boards may vary, which may result in variances in colour of the finished panels.

INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR FINISH
Iron, Copper, Aluminium, Graphite and other Metal Finishes
Metal filings are applied to the surface of the panels and then oxidised to look aged. A top coat of sealer prevents further oxidisation of the metal and protects against scuffing. This finish is suitable for interiors on MDF and exteriors on polymer material.

EXTERIOR FINISH FOR POLYMER PANELS
Exterior Paint
3D Wall Panels™ made from polymer material are completely waterproof and look great in the garden as screening walls or behind water features.
As the material is slightly flexible, panels should be painted after installation by yourself or your painter. Acrylic or enamel paint is suitable (however dark colours with exposure to high temperature can cause expansion similar to timber and are not recommended).
Experiment with textured, render or special effects paint for a truly unique look.
